Chef Info:
Zeke Lambert
14 years in Taos
In 1973, Zeke moved to Utah to spend a winter skiing. He spent the next 10 years in Restaurants there and the last six as Chef at a small lodge at Alta. During this time, he developed a feel for melting pot (American) cuisine. In 1982 he moved to Northern California to dine tune his profession working in a number of Restaurants around the Bay area. As newlyweds, Zeke and Tina moved to Taos in 1985 with the idea of opening their own restaurant. After four successful years at Doc Martins, Zeke and Tina opened Lamberts in the fall of 1989. Sticking with his melting pot origins, Lamberts serves everything from Colorado Lamb to Asian Style Shrimp, Pork Tenderloin with Chipotle Sauce to Basil Crusted Jumbo Scallops with Asparagus Risotto. The food is founded on the basic principles of buying the best and cooking from scratch. Lamberts has been open 14 years and the goal is to continue to fine tune the food, service and over all experience.
