Roland has been a chef all of his working life. Schooled formally in the German Hotel Restaurant system, he went on to work in London, New York and Toronto. In Toronto Roland had 3 restaurants simultaneously under his guidance as Executive Chef, one being the very fine Italian restaurant, Orso and another being an American bistro-type restaurant named Joe Allen.
